We are the main opposition Group on Labour-run Calderdale Council with 11 members. Our members on Calderdale Council represent: Brighouse, Elland, Hipperholme and Lightcliffe, Rastrick, and Ryburn Wards - more details about each member can be found on our People page.
Our Group Leader on Calderdale Council is Cllr Steven Leigh MBE (Ryburn Ward), and the Deputy Leader is Cllr Howard Blagbrough (Brighouse Ward). Cllr Geraldine Carter is the Chair of Calder Valley Association and Stephen Baines MBE is Chair of Halifax Association.
We are determined to fight for a better deal for residents across Calderdale - which means delivering better services for our local communities and spending taxpayers’ money wisely.
