Vishal Gupta has been selected to stand in Warley Ward, at the upcoming local elections.
Vishal's priorities, include:
- Improving road safety and tackling speeding. Vishal would work towards introducing traffic-calming measures in hotspots.
- Cleaning up our streets. The Conservatives will recruit two additional maintenance teams to clean up litter and fly-tipping.
- Fighting anti-social behaviour. The Conservative Government is recruiting more 'Bobbies on the Beat' to keep our streets safe. Locally, your Conservative Councillors would recruit additional community wardens with mobile CCTV vans to deter crime.
- Protecting our environment. Vishal wants to protect and expand the number of green spaces across Warley. Furthermore, Vishal will push for more green initiatives on the Council, to help meet the Conservative Government's net-zero carbon emissions target in 2050. This would include introducing more Electric Vehicle Charing Points across Calderdale.
- Spending your money wisely. Vishal believes in delivering the efficient frontline services, which you expect for your Council Tax. We need to cut wasteful spending and get the basics right.
- Addressing the cost of living. Vishal backs the Conservative Government's plans to help families with the increase in the cost of living. The Conservative Government is providing a £150 Council Tax Rebate for residents, and we have cut fuel duty for 12 months. Locally, your Conservative Councillors would freeze the Council Tax reduction scheme at its current rate, to protect lower-income households.
If you live in Warley, covering Highroad Well, Warley town, Norton Tower, Pellon, Moor End Road and Mount Tabor - Vote Vishal Gupta on Thursday 5 May.
